    I am not messy, but I am a little clumsy.  My wife is always getting on to me about spilling things.  When I saw this DIY Fridge Mat Pinterest, I jumped at the chance to show the wife some projects of mine can make HER life easier also.  It is all well and good to be handy.

    However, f you can’t wow the wife occasionally then you won’t have anyone to be prepared for.

    To make a fridge mat simply use plastic place mats on your fridge shelves.  If they get dirty it is much easier to take them out and clean them than it is to clean the actual shelf.

    As you can see this is a simple little project, but it does wonders for making your fridge easy to clean.  If the mats get too dirty, simply lift them out and throw them away.  The stains and spills will go with them leaving your fridge shelves protected and clean.

    This DIY Fridge Mat is about as easy as my microwave cleaning trick.  It is not hard, try it and see if it makes your life easier.

    I know I use this all the time myself.

    We fell in love with the artisan fridge bread recipe (at least until I finally broke down and bought a kitchen aide stand mixer) – it makes it so easy to make fresh bread you have to fall in love with it.

    Not being able to leave a good thing alone, I had to tinker with the recipe and the recipe uses until I came up with this Fridge Bread Pizza Recipe.

    I like big pillowy pizza crust deep dish pizza is my kryptonite.

    This is a great recipe for busy nights when you have to throw something together for a hungry family with little time and energy.

    While it is so easy you really don’t need written instructions, watch the videos a couple times and try it.  I bet you will find it as worthwhile as I do.

    The best thing is, you can make this dough when you have time, and it can sit in the refrigerator until you need it. The longer it sits in the fridge the better the dough gets.  After a week or so it makes an awesome pizza – if you can let it sit that long.

    Personally I never can wait that long.

    I had to work this Fridge Inventory Tip video when the wife was asleep.  Not everyone can use this, and to be honest, I would only do this on my freezer (but since my freezer is covered with half completed projects, this was easier than cleaning up my workshop for a quick video.

    Anyway, if you want an easy fridge inventory tip, a dry erase marker will work on many freezer finishes, and this may be a good way to keep track of what is in your freezer.

    Just be sure you use a dry erase marker or your wife may cut you.

    This fridge inventory tip can work for other refrigerator colors other than white, but be sure to test the finish in an area that you have a hard time seeing, as you don’t want to write a bunch of stuff on the fridge door and not be able to clean it off.

    I have to be careful with this, you see I have a 4 year old that if he saw me writing on the fridge with dry erase markers he would think he could do it with sharpies.

    FIY here is another tip, if your child writes on your fridge with permanent marker, you can write over his art with a dry erase and it will lift off the first marks…..
