Be balanced in your life.  You cannot be a superman 24-7-365. You have to take time to make connections with your family, to rest, to play. Sprinting is healthy in short duration, but prepping is a lifestyle not a race.

(Easier said than done, I have the most problem with this one.)

As I sat at the computer last night my boy came up and asked for me to play with him – This site is important to me, and so is my calling to help others, but having a son that knows he is loved is much more important – so I am typing this while he is sleeping late this morning.

If you can not be balanced in your life you may end up loosing what you find the most important.  This is important enough to try using humor to make it understandable.

You cannot just do one thing all the time, you must take breaks.

These precepts are my creed, and having prepper precepts guides me when I face tough choices.  A wise man once told me that when facing a moral problem, the right choice is usually the action you don’t want to take.

I am not a pollyanna person that is wishy washy or blindly follows rules, heck I have a little rebellious streak and love to know the WHY of rules, but I do respect and understand the need for law and know how vital it is for a society to have a moral code.
