JASTEK 4 in 1 Multiple USB Charging Cable with LED Lighting Review

Like the previous multi-charging cable, I like the idea of having one cable that can charge all of my handheld devices. Today I am going to review the 4 in 1 Multiple USB Charging Cable with LED Lighting from JASTEK. I was invited to review this product, and did receive it at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

I got this cable because I was very happy with the colorful charger I reviewed earlier, but the colors turned me off. I liked the features, but my OCD can’t stand the rainbow effect.

I think this one looks much more professional, and it works well.

I don’t know if I like the LED light yet, it is handy at night, but the blinking patterns are a little distracting at times.

Unlike the previous JASTEK product, this version did not have the clip at the top. I liked the clip, but this one seems sturdier.

The big difference in the Multiple USB Charging Cable was that this version did not charge two phones at once.

This is a big difference to me, which makes me like the colorful one better because I have a work and personal phone. However, if I only had one phone I would much prefer this one.

The Little House Books Boxed Set

I grew up watching the Little House on the Prairie. I also had access to the Little House Books Boxed Set.

The books had so much more information than what was available on TV.

Reading these books were a joy to me as a child. If I took time to think about it, they probably did a lot to influence me as an adult. One thing I looked forward to when I found my wife was pregnant was reading these with my child. William is almost old enough to enjoy reading this little house box set with me. I know I am excited to one day get to share these stories with him.

These books, La’mour westerns, and My Side of the Mountain are all things that I dearly want to share with him.

I would imagine that many children would enjoy and benefit from reading these books. Actually, I think all children would benefit from reading almost any book with their parents.

I don’t want to go back to the “good ole days” as I like air conditioning and antibiotics, but I do have some nostalgia for simpler times, and do learn a lot about how our early pioneers did things.

I travel a lot, and I have a bunch of phones. I have to carry a work phone at all times, plus with my side job of training I need to be able to read my emails.

Normally this causes a lot of headaches when it comes to keeping everything charged. Recently a company called jastek offered me a chance to review a set of colorful USB Charging Cables to try out.

When opening the box I was not really impressed, I got a little white bit of plastic with 6 cables hanging out of it.

First impressions were wrong, as as soon as I plugged it in I was happy. I did not expect it, but this device charged both my android and my iphone at the same time.

I then noticed that the little plastic blob on the end was actually a spring loaded clip.

Now I can hang this up as it charges. This means my phones won’t fall off the hotel nightstand.

I think these USB Charging Cables are a great product. and at $9.99 you can’t really beat it.

Thorkey Keyholder Review Review

First, I want you to know I did get this item for reduced price in exchange for an honest review. Second, I was about to buy it myself when I got the offer.

When it comes to my keys I am a little weird. I try to carry as few as I can and I like them to be very organized. Before I got the thorkey I had used several different methods to organize my keys.

I have taken this to an extreme. The last set of keys I had cost over $100. OF course I had 2 64gig flashdrives and a nice keyholder.

I can’t justify spending that again when I may loose my keys. But the thorkey costs a fraction of that.

In my opinion, the thorkey looks classier than the metal framed keybars. I do know that the leather is more flexible. Consequently, I find the thorkey easier to use than the keysmart system.

I really like this set up, the screw is very tight in its retaining nut. My keys rotate easily. This is a very simple process that someone took the time to do well. They even spent effort in creating a nice package to ship it in.

How to Make a Cheaper KeySmart USB Drive

As I wrote in an earlier article, I really like the KeySmart key system, but being a trainer, I also have a need to carry a thumb drive of my presentations. Luckily there is a Keysmart USB drive.

However, this solution is really expensive. They have a huge markup on the flat USB drive and the adapter that allows it to fit senselessly into the KeySmart.

Their system uses a Kingston Digital DataTraveler SE9 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I really like these small drives.

They run about $15.00 on Amazon. The adapter costs nearly $10.00.

I found that a simple rubber bushing from the hardware store costs less than $1.00.

I just took my USB to Lowes and compared the bushings until I found one that fit. This is a simplie thing to do, and it makes work so much easier.
