This Waffle Cone S’Mores recipe was put in one of my books so I am not going to add the recipe (I have done this before and both my publisher and reviewers got made at me for selling books with content that could be found for free on this site).

    however,

i still want to share because it is a really fun recipe for camping (or just in your home oven).

I really like doing this recipe with kids.  Letting your child make their own waffle cone lets them be creative as well as allow them to make choices with little consequence.

These S’Mores are a pretty fun family activity.  Additionally they are a very tasty and kid friendly recipe.

Making this video was a win-win scenario.  I enjoyed making this video, and my son really enjoyed eating the desserts.  Unfortunately, Genny is still on her diet, so I don’t get to make these very much, she says I only cook desserts when I want to tempt her.

I am not the kind of guy to tempt a hungry mamma with melted chocolate.  I take risks, but I am not suicidal.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video and take some time to cook with your kids.

When I saw waffle hashbrowns on chow.com I had to try it.

Waffles are my wife’s favorite, but i don’t particularly like them, now I can cook something with the waffle maker.

Besides the fact that I now have something to do with my waffle iron besides making waffles from scratch.

This was a very cheap, filling, and easy meal – plus the boy liked it…

Waffle Hashbrowns are tasty, cheap, and filling

This is just what a prepper meal should be.  If you have one of those campfire waffle irons, then this would make a great camping recipe.

I can imagine how good it would be with ketchup and a nice fire.

To make waffle iron hash browns:

    • Heat the waffle iron to its medium setting.
    • Peel your potatoes and grate them on the large holes of a box grater.
    • Squeeze the mixture by the handful to release as much moisture as possible.
    • When the iron is hot, fill the bottom half with 1/8 inch vegetable oil (about 1 tablespoon).
    • Combine the potato with some black pepper, and mix until well combined.
    • Place about 1 cup of the taters in the iron, sprinkle some salt over top, brush with vegetable oil, and close it
    • Cook until the hash browns are golden brown and crisp, about eight to ten minutes.

Waffle Hashbrowns are tasty, cheap, and filling – this is just what a prepper meal should be.  If you have one of those campfire waffle irons, then this would make a great camping recipe – I can imagine how good it would be with ketchup and a nice fire.

While messing around on youtube I found the neatest youtube channel from a guy named meatmangary.

He had a couple of cool videos that I took and modified to try something new.

Basically the Meat Man cooked a cheeseburger using his waffle iron – since I had played with my waffle iron to make hashbrowns. I wanted to try this, however, since Gary had already done the cheeseburger I wanted to try something new.

What came to my mind was Chicken and Waffles…

This is my attempt at Waffle Iron Chicken

Would cooking ground chicken on the waffle iron and eating with syrup and waffle taste as good as it sounds.

    Simple answer – yes…

What is important is to well oil the waffle iron, be patient and let it cook through before opening, and to make sure you don’t over-cook the chicken.

My wife liked this recipe and told me it’s something to make again – besides that – it is easy and doesn’t need a lot of cleanup.

This is an awesome recipe.  I loved it, it was simple, and it was cool.  Of course what I think cool is not what most would think was cool.
