Bob Munden is a legendary trick shot.  He can do things with a revolver that will blow your mind.

I love watching this trick shot, and even though I know how he did it (and think its cheating) I cannot replicate it.

Before he passed in 2012 he was a world-renowned exhibition shooter with handguns, rifles and shotguns and held 18 world-records for fast draw techniques.

Guinness World Records even named Bob Munden the “Fastest Man with a Gun Who Ever Lived”.

In the video above Bob Munden is using a Colt .45 single-action revolver to shoot two balloons eight feet apart in less than a tenth of second.

That is pretty amazing no matter how he does it.

Wikipedia mentions that when he was on the Stan Lee Superhuman’s Program it was tested and found his hand sustains 10 Gs of force as he draws the handgun.

That is pretty neat in my book.  I like to show this video to my students so they can appreciate what you can do with devotion to practice.  Bob is the fastest but I also like to show Jerry Miculek shooting fast AND accurately as well as Tomasie with the world’s fastest reload.

Jerry Miculek is the living embodiment of revolver shooting.  He is the fastest revolver shot alive, and besides being fast, he is accurate.

The video shared is older, but it shows Jerry Miculek setting a world record for fast revolver shooting.

I have recently heard he set another speed record at the 2017 Shot Show, but I have not found any video of it yet.

I really enjoy Jerry Miculek’s videos, he is humble, talented, and enjoys both shooting and sharing shooting with others.

There is no doubt that he has information to share when it comes to shooting.  Not just revolvers, even though that is his specialty, but all manner of guns.

What he does with a shoulder fired Barrett .50 is nothing short of amazing.

I am not posting a full article with the next couple videos. I wanted to experiment making videos using my class PowerPoint presentations. I did feel the need to be a little briefer in my explanations of the slides than I normally am in class, but that’s because in class, with me jumping around and passing around training aids it takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to describe the concepts I posted here. I don’t think I can keep a YouTube Audience interested for an hour long Handgun video.

As always, these handgun videos do not take the place of live interaction with a qualified instructor. This is just another attempt to use a new medium to help give a new shooter a starting point in their training so they may feel a little more comfortable in a formal class.

I hope this experiment in turning my class PowerPoints into posts is useful.  I have lots of class material and would love to share it.  I think that information should be freely shared.  Time, however, is limited and valuable so I still have to charge for classes.

I like teaching handgun classes and as soon as I can get everything squared away I want to start teaching at the land so I can share more information face to face.

The Citizen’s Guide to Surviving Police Encounters

This video was created by a lawyer to give the viewer tips on how to deal with police.  It’s name, “The citizen’s guide to surviving police encounters” is a very accurate summary of it’s content.

It is not a lawyer video for thugs, nor does it help if you are guilty, but it does provide valuable information for innocent citizen’s whose instincts for helping and cooperating with government officials may lead them into trouble.

If a policeman is talking to you about a crime they may suspect you, the courts have ruled a law enforcement officer can lie to you, they can use anything you say against you, and cannot use anything that you say that may help you to help you.

When teaching self defense, and especially armed self defense I try to incorporate many of the concepts in this video as they are standard to the field.  This is not rocket science and the video does not show anything new or groundbreaking to those in the know, but much of what it teaches is not commonly known to the millions of honest law-abiding citizens that are just trying to mind there own business and help out when asked.

I’m not a lawyer so don’t believe me – Just watch BUSTED: The Citizen’s Guide to Surviving Police Encounters.

Don’t Talk to Police After a Shooting?

If you carry a handgun for self defense you owe it to yourself to watch this video.  Don’t Talk to Police sets forth some essential knowledge to protect yourself after a use of force incident.

This goes in the face of a lot of what seems to be common thought.

Good guys have nothing to fear from the police, Good guys talk to the police, only the bad guys have to worry about self-incrimination.  Pleading the fifth is saying I’m guilty.

While I am extremely pro-police and work within the system, I think some of this needs to be investigated.

The 5th Amendment was designed to protect the innocent from being tortured into confession.  However, I feel how you do that is important.  I wrote about this earlier in what to do after a shooting.

Police have the ability to lie to you, the Supreme Court and multiple lower courts have ruled this way over the years.

What you may not know is that whatever you say to the police cannot be used for you.  Any statements that help your case is hearsay and the cop is not allowed to testify for you, but everything you can will be taken and used against you.  Why would you make statements.
