Its exceptional accuracy, controllability, and wide array of accessories make the carbine an essential tool for modern warriors.

In this exclusive video from Paladin Press, WARTAC founder Rich Nance and WARTAC instructor Aaron Peachman teach combat techniques and tactics designed to help you deploy the carbine under real-world conditions.

In Advanced Carbine Tactics they first they reveal the mindset needed to master the fundamentals of marksmanship, proper weapon handling and shooting positions, malfunction clearing and reloads, and shooting in low-light situations.

Then step-by-step instruction in one- and two-man room entry and the use of cover provide you with the advanced tools needed to maximize the carbine’s advantages in a firefight.

Ultimately, the will to win and expert training in sound combat tactics are what help you prevail in any violent encounter. This video delivers both.

How to Build Practical Firearm Suppressors

How to Build Practical Firearm Suppressors is a very small book that covers the very basics of how to construct a suppressor.  It does a fairly good job at it, but if you already know the basics, then everything in this book is just common sense.

Of course, If you live in the United States, and have not paid your $200 tax stamp and have a completed ATF form 1 giving you permission to engage in this activity then you will face serious police consequences if you construct anything in this book.

However, if you are willing to fill out the proper paperwork and remit the fee that Caesar demands then this book will show you how to build a firearm suppressor.

Now, if you consider the suppressor to be practical or not depends on what you think is practical.

If by practical you mean low cost and some level of decibel reduction then it will show practical suppressors.  If you mean high quality construction that rivals the commercial brands – then the designs within this book are not practical.

But all things considered, suppressors have been around for a LONG time, and anyone with a lathe has the ability to construct a high quality firearm suppressor for little cost.

Home Workshop Guns Vol V the AR-15

Like the earlier Home Workshop Guns for Defense & Resistance, Vol. 2 – the Handgun, the latest volume in this popular and timely series offers detailed instructions, complete with photos and machinist’s drawings, for making a pistol-caliber AR-15/M16 entirely from raw materials, as either a rifle or pistol, open or closed bolt and in semi or full auto.

I have put together several AR-15’s from stripped lowers and parts kits, and find that it is much cheaper to do it yourself, I also find that by putting your own rifle together from scratch you understand it.

This book tells how to build your own AR-15 lower from square pipe.  This lower can either be used with a commercial upper receiver, or you can go deeper into the Home Workshop Guns manual to build your own AR upper also.

These types of books are rapidly becoming non-politically correct, which is all the more reason for owning them.  I do not advocate breaking federal law by constructing homemade machine guns, but I do advocate knowing how.  During the Britich Bombings during WWI the country was unable to supply enough weapons to gear up for war, but bicycle shops and home workshops started mass producing sten guns.  The security of a free state depends on the populace being able to construct these machines in the event of invasion.

9 Great Gun Magazines You Should Read

Here are some of my favorite gun magazines, I have subscribed to all of them at one point or another, and look for them at the newsstand when I know I am going to have a slow day and have some time to site and leaf through them.

Subscribing saves a lot of money over buying them at the newsstand – and some (like shotgun news can save you a lot of money).

I enjoy gun magazines quite a bit, the articles always give me something to think about, and I love looking at the new guns pictured in them.  I am leery of the reviews though as I tend to see ads for guns in the same article where they review them (except magazines like gun tests).

Interesting Gun

Gear Review: Interesting Gun

This is a very interesting gun that was in my grandfather’s estate – This gun has some history in my family – My dad used it for a while when he was a deputy. But in addition to family history, this gun has a interesting history.

It’s a Llama frame with a colt government slide.

Basically in the early 1930’s Llama made some guns based on the 1911 and 1911A1 – many were chambered in .38 super with what they called a “tolerant chamber” so that they could fire both 9mm and 38 super. In this gun, being in a “heirloom” and not being mine – I did not fire it with 9mm largo.

I did shoot it with the .38 supers – which is a rimless case based upon the old .38 acp – it looks like long 9mm case, (which is some aspects it kind of is).
What is neat with the old Llama’s because they used 1911 blueprints, many .45 caliber 1911 parts fit with no problems.

Somewhere my Grandpa acquired some government model .45 magazines, and a complete 1911 GI issue upper. The slide fits right on the Llama frame and allows a very quick conversion between the .38 and the .45.

This old gun is not to be confused with the newer model Llama’s – I know many gun guys that think the newer Llamas are the single black mark on the 1911 tradition.

Many will not own one no matter what the price – additionally the holes in the new Llama frames are oversized, and many of the parts are not interchangeable – so if you have a Llama minimax or other guns don’t try this at home.
